Hours

 

The Kern County Museum's hours of operation are:

  • Wednesday - Sunday - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Tickets for admittance to the museum are sold until 3:00 p.m. each day.
  • Lori Brock Children's Discovery Center closes at 4:30p.m.
  • Black Gold: The Oil Experience closes on Wednesday-Friday at 3:00p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday at 3:30p.m.

The museum is closed on the following days:

  • Easter
  • Fourth of July
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve - The museum will be open from 10:00am to 1:00pm
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year's Eve - The museum will be open from 10:00am to 1:00pm
  • New Year's Day
