Over 50 historic structures and exhibits set amid 16 acres of beautiful grounds make an ideal setting for numerous types of private and public functions for parties as small as 50 or as large as 5,000!

Wedding ceremonies and receptions are especially elegant in this historic setting. When your wedding takes place at the Kern County Museum, the setting is unique, memorable, and far from the distractions of modern life. From sweet and simple to magical and magnificent, choose from a variety of venues at our 16-acre, tree-shaded Pioneer Village. Whether arriving in horse-drawn carriage, exchanging vows in our historic chapel, or under our charming gazebo – we’ll create an event to be talked about for years to come.

The Kern County Museum offers a variety of locations depending on the size and scope of your wedding or reception. Popular wedding and reception sites include the Chapel, Bandstand and Green, and the Hotel Fellows. The Log Cabin Green is perfect for large functions like company picnics.
