Granite Station

Granite Station was stage stop between Bakersfield and Linn's Valley in the early 1870s.  A post office was established in 1875. Formerly known as Five Dogs and Elmer, Granite Station is named for local granite outcroppings. The station facilities were destroyed by fire about 1995.
