Democrat Hot Springs, California

Located on the Kern River about 17 miles northeast of Bakersfield, Democrat Hot Springs is a health resort established in 1905 by Dell Hill. The name was chosen supposedly to commemorate the national political party. The resort is the site of several sulphureted hot springs.
