Keene, California
Also known as Wooddford, Keene is a small community and railroad sigding on the Southern Pacific Railroad. Established in 1879, it was named for James R. Keene who was the president of the San Francisco Stock and Exchange Board in 1875. The nearby Stony Brook Sanitorium was built in 1918.
