Docents

Docent Council/Historical School Tours

You'll make a difference in students' lives as you teach them the history of Kern County and the West. Through your interpretation of Black Gold: The Oil Experience, Native American Life, One Room School, Journey to the Past or Frontier Life, docentpic1: history comes alive! Our ability to offer school tour programs is entirely dependent on the availability of trained volunteers, or docents. More docents are needed. Please let us know if you are interested in training to be a docent by calling (661) 852-5050 or e-mail our Education and Volunteer Services Manager, Jackie Brouillette. For more information you can also click Volunteers in the menu.
