Barbara Mandrell
Patsy Sledd designed this stage costume for Barbara Mandrell in the 1970s. One of Barbara Mandrell's first television appearances was in Bakersfield on KUZZin Herb Henson’s Trading Post Show in 1958. She was 10 years old. The following year Mandrell was invited to play steel guitar on the Joe Maphis Show at the Showboat Hotel in Las Vegas. Mandrell’s first single, Queen For A Day, was released in 1966 on Bakersfield’s Mosrite Record Label.
