The One Room School program offers children an opportunity to experience what education was like for the children of Kern County in the 1880s. Children participate in a classroom setting as a costumed docent instructs the students about the lessons and manners of schoolchildren during the 1880s. The program takes place in the historic Norris School on the grounds of the Kern County Museum.
